A "petrol candle" typically refers to a commercially manufactured, scented candle designed to smell like gasoline or race fuel, using safe, synthetic fragrance oils in a natural wax base like soy, not actual petrol. Using actual petrol (gasoline) as fuel in a homemade candle is extremely dangerous and is not recommended due to fire hazards and toxic fumes

Medium — 225g of 100% soy wax in an amber glass jar, over 40 hours burn time.
Large — 285g, over 50 hours burn time. Add a lid for $3 and the engraving is FREE (it’s $10 on a Medium, which already comes with a lid).

Burn for no more than 4 hours at a time and trim the wick before each burn.

Always burn within sight, on a heat-safe surface away from drafts. Keep out of reach of children and pets. Burn for no more than 4 hours at a time and stop when 1cm of wax remains.

On the first burn, let the wax melt all the way to the edge of the jar (about 3–4 hours) so it doesn’t tunnel. Trim the wick to about 5mm before every burn for a cleaner flame.

Wax: 100% soy wax — no paraffin. Fragrance: candle-grade fragrance oils used within IFRA guidelines, with no essential oils. Wick: cotton-based and lead-free.

Why no essential oils? Candles are a high-heat application, and many essential oils have low flash points and are hard to formulate consistently in wax — so we use candle-grade fragrance oils made for burning.
