Candle care
Always burn within sight, on a heat-safe surface away from drafts. Keep out of reach of children and pets. Burn for no more than 4 hours at a time and stop when 1cm of wax remains.
On the first burn, let the wax melt all the way to the edge of the jar (about 3–4 hours) so it doesn’t tunnel. Trim the wick to about 5mm before every burn for a cleaner flame.
What it’s made of
Wax: 100% soy wax — no paraffin. Fragrance: candle-grade fragrance oils used within IFRA guidelines, with no essential oils. Wick: cotton-based and lead-free.
Why no essential oils? Candles are a high-heat application, and many essential oils have low flash points and are hard to formulate consistently in wax — so we use candle-grade fragrance oils made for burning.
What makes this a good dentist retirement gift?
It celebrates a career of creating smiles — a thoughtful, lightly humorous send-off for a retiring dentist.
Who would love this candle?
It's for retiring dentists — from the practice team, patients or family.
What is this candle made from?
100% natural soy wax with a lead-free cotton wick and phthalate-free fragrance oils — hand-poured in NSW, Australia.
How long will the candle last?
Soy wax burns slowly and cleanly, so it lasts well; trimming the wick to 5mm before each light gives the longest, most even burn.
Is it safe to burn around pets?
The fragrance oils are phthalate-free and contain no essential oils (verified by Safety Data Sheets), with a lead-free cotton wick — always burn in a ventilated space away from pets.
How quickly will it arrive?
We dispatch within 24–48 hours (2–5 business days from Black Friday to Christmas) from NSW and ship Australia-wide, with free shipping on orders over $120.
Can you ship it straight to the gift recipient?
Yes — just enter their address at checkout; it arrives gift-ready with no invoice inside.
What if it arrives damaged?
Contact us and we'll make it right — see our refund policy for details.
Is Afterpay available?
Yes — Afterpay is available at checkout.
